Terms of trade

General ordering information for the Construction Supplies Australia storefront. The seller and binding terms are confirmed in the quote or order acceptance.

01

Quotes and orders

A quote states its validity period, seller, price, availability and expected dispatch or delivery window. An order is accepted only when the identified seller confirms it in writing. Custom-cut orders proceed to production or procurement only after the buyer approves the cutting list or specification.

02

Supply and fulfilment

CSA publishes catalogue information and routes quote requests. The quote or order acceptance identifies the legal seller and any supplier, distributor or carrier involved. Product images, specifications and catalogue information are indicative; the confirmed order documentation governs what is supplied.

03

Pricing and GST

Prices are in Australian dollars and, unless stated otherwise, exclude GST and delivery. Steel is a commodity and prices can change; we will confirm the current price at the time of order.

04

Payment

Payment timing and any account credit terms are stated in the accepted quote or order. Credit is not granted by submitting a trade account enquiry.

05

Title and risk

The accepted quote or order sets out when risk and title pass to the buyer. Review those terms before paying or approving custom production.

06

Delivery

Delivery and dispatch dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. They depend on supplier availability, production or cutting schedules, carrier capacity and events outside the seller's control. Any limits on liability are stated in the accepted order terms. Inspect goods on delivery and note any damage or shortage on the docket before signing.

07

Returns

Unused standard catalogue items in original condition may be returned within 14 days subject to our returns policy, supplier acceptance where applicable, and a possible restocking fee. Custom-cut and project-specific items cannot be returned unless faulty or supplied incorrectly. See our returns and warranty page for full details.

08

Warranties and liability

Available manufacturer warranty documents are provided with the product or order information. The accepted order terms identify the seller and any applicable limits on liability. Nothing in those terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
